Today’s 30km loop ride takes in farmland, river banks, parks, light industrial and wetlands. We travel along Ormond Road (named after John Davies Ormond) which leads onto the historic Oak Avenue – an avenue lined with Oak trees, planted in 1874.

The Route : Waitangi Park- Pakowhai Country Park – Ormond Rd (Oak Ave) – Omaha Rd- Frimley Ave – Frimley Rd – Frimley Park – Lyndhurst Rd – Pakowhai Rd – Fredrick St – Caroline Rd – Hastings to Whakatu cycleway. Whakatu to Clive – Back to Waitangi Park.

Our refreshment stop was at the Potting Shed Cafe within the Garden Depot on Pakowhai Road.
