You may have heard about the wonderful Hawkes Bay Trails, an extensive, approximately 200 kms, network of mainly limestone, shared pathways which are very much suited to eBike riding.

The Trails are comfortable to ride your eBike on and they take you on a big discovery tour of Hawkes Bay. There are many cafes (and wineries) that you can pop into for refreshments.

A suggestion would be to find accommodation local to Taradale as this would give you easy access to a varied number of rides as follows:
1. Puketapu Loop 20 kms. (currently incomplete until new bridge is completed)
2. Ahuriri via the lower Water Ride – Ahuriri – inner Napier cycle trials (iWays) back to Taradale 30 kms.
3. Full Water Ride to Bayview. Return along the Coastal Pathway to Ahuriri and then the cycle trails to Napier. 35 kms.
4. Drive to Clive 15 kms, then ride Clive to Clifton return along the Coastal Pathway 32 kms. Excellent Hygge Cafe at Clifton.
The above rides are mainly on the trails with short sections of quiet road riding to link to the trails. Find your route on the Hawkes Bay Trails map. Or visit the Napier iSite to pick up hard copy free maps. Just remember to keep left and overtake on the right.
