Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, New Zealand is now at Alert Level 2. This has meant that group riding has resumed but is limited to groups of 10. Today’s ride with E-bike Social Riders Hawkes Bay from Ahuriri to Puketapu Domain consisted of 3 groups, with start times 15 minutes apart, to adhere to the restrictions.

Distance: approx. 50 kms

The forecast was cloudy and 14 degrees. And even though it looked like it would rain, I felt only a few light sprinkles. There was only a suggestion of the autumn colours left on the trees. As you will see, some of our riders are very much, young at heart.

Route:
Ahuriri (Boat Ramp Eatery (Car Park) to the Puketapu Domain (Dartmoor RD) via Domain Rd – Watchmans Rd – lower water ride, – Church Rd – South side of the Puketapu Loop to the Puketapu Domain. Return North side of the Puketapu Loop – Guppy Rd – Meanae Rd – Harold Halt – Eel Path – Shed Rd – Ahuriri.
