Anderson Park to Bayview over the hills, is an alternate route to Park Island via hills. This is mainly an on road ride, with hills, taking in the trail to Puketapu. Distance approx. 45kms.

Starting at Anderson Park Auckland Road carpark – Auckland Road – York Street – Guppy Road – through the Taradale Rugby Club  then on to river bank track to Puketapu – Puketapu Road to Puketitiri Road – Seafield Road – Hill Road – Petane Road – Cross SH2 for Coffee at Berry Tasty – SH2  – Gill Road – Fergusson Street – Coast Cycle Way – Alfred Street – Cross SH 2 – Cycle way and underpasses through to Prebensen Drive – Prebensen Drive – around the back of Park Island – Clyde Jeffery Drive – Westminster Ave – York Road – back to car park.

Hazards; there is a lot of country road riding including a short portion of SH 2 and two crossings of SH 2. There are significant hill sections.
